Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Reinking has a B.S. Degree in Music Area (vocal and instrumental) from Ball State University, and an M.S. Degree in Education, Gifted and Talented Endorsement, and an Administrative License from IPFW. Mrs. Reinking taught previously in Fort Wayne at the Canterbury School, Holy Cross Lutheran School, and Keystone Schools before coming to the DeKalb Eastern CSD. She has taught Elementary Music in grades K-6, as well as Elementary, Middle and High School choirs and bands. She also directed and co-directed the Musical Theater Productions at Eastside and has been involved in over 40 Broadway shows throughout her lifetime. Mrs. Reinking played flute/piccolo in the Marion Philharmonic Orchestra for 16 years and has been a frequent adjudicator for ISSMA Solo/Ensemble/Organizational Contests for over 30 years. Mrs. Reinking and her husband, Hal, are the parents of a son and daughter. The Reinkings also have one granddaughter, Sabryn. Mrs. Reinking enjoys performing and listening to music, reading, traveling (especially near water), shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
